ATO accepts second straight True Merit Bowl award at the 2008 National Congress

Last year ATO was able to achieve the True Merit Bowl, which is given to the most successful fraternities at the anual ATO national congress. This award is regarded as the largest and most important award given during congress. We matched this feat again by reiving this honorable award for the second year in a row. This is a testiment to our dedication to making ATO the best fraternity on campus.

    3. The True Merit Award is given to the top 10-15% of chapters nationwide who are worthy of such recognition for their demonstration of efficiency and excellence in all aspects of chapter operations. 2007 was the first time that the OSU chapter of Beta Omega was ever awarded with the True Merit bowl.

To bind men together in a brotherhood based upon eternal and immutable principles, with a bond as strong as right itself, and as lasting as humanity; to know no north, no south, no east, no west, but to know man as man, to teach that true men the world over should stand together and contend for supremacy of good over evil; to teach not politics, but morals; to foster not partisanship, but the recognition of true merit wherever found; to have no narrower limits within which to work together for the elevation of man than the outlines of the world; these were the thoughts and hopes uppermost in the minds of the founders of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
