Welcome to the website of the Beta Omega Chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, celebrating 116 years at The Ohio State University.

ATO was founded in 1865 by three Confederate Civil War cadets. The goal of Alpha Tau Omega was to help unite men of both Northern and Southern descent in peace. ATO is based on Christian rather than Greek principles. Through the years ATO has initiated over 225,000 people around the world. Currently Alpha Tau Omega has over 160 chapters in the United States. This year, 2008, ATO marks 116 years on the campus The Ohio State University, excelling in areas such as brotherhood, academics, athletics, service, and leadership. This award is regarded as the largest and most important award given during congress. We matched this feat again by reiving this honorable award for the second year in a row. This is a testiment to our dedication to making ATO the best fraternity on campus.

To bind men together in a brotherhood based upon eternal and immutable principles, with a bond as strong as right itself, and as lasting as humanity; to know no north, no south, no east, no west, but to know man as man, to teach that true men the world over should stand together and contend for supremacy of good over evil; to teach not politics, but morals; to foster not partisanship, but the recognition of true merit wherever found; to have no narrower limits within which to work together for the elevation of man than the outlines of the world; these were the thoughts and hopes uppermost in the minds of the founders of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
