ATO Recruitment

At ATO we do recruitment a little differently. Contrary to the historical style of recruitment- i.e. open rush, rush parties, etc- ATO at Ohio State is one of few fraternities nationwide that follow a “Selective Recruitment” strategy.

Selective Recruitment is a strategy that was employed when ATO was re-chartered on the OSU campus. Essentially, our goal is to find the next group of individuals who will take ATO to new heights. This involves finding leaders, athletes, scholars, and individuals with strong character.

Our recruitment events are typically laid back, fun, and non-confrontational. Whether it is wings, a movie, basketball, football.. (Really anything)- the events are always fun. We are not the fraternity that will hoard you with bids, and insist that you join. Rather, we would like potential individuals to see how ATO can be furthered and developed using their skills and abilities- and that they will receive the best possible college experience in return.

Our events for the FALL haven’t been planned out yet. However, we are always out doing something, so if you know any ATO’s or have interest in coming out- email Oray Talu at ATOohiostate@yahoo.com.

Attached to this site is our ATO Recruitment Portfolio- filled with additional information that is central to ATO. Take a look at it!

To bind men together in a brotherhood based upon eternal and immutable principles, with a bond as strong as right itself, and as lasting as humanity; to know no north, no south, no east, no west, but to know man as man, to teach that true men the world over should stand together and contend for supremacy of good over evil; to teach not politics, but morals; to foster not partisanship, but the recognition of true merit wherever found; to have no narrower limits within which to work together for the elevation of man than the outlines of the world; these were the thoughts and hopes uppermost in the minds of the founders of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
